Duffel-Bag Living

March 31st marked the last day in our apartment on Larch Street (cue sniffs all around), which was after a rather successful garage sale of about 2/3rd of our earthly possessions and a thorough cleaning of our apartment with the amazing assistance of our Moms!

Trying to find something among the chaotic mess!

Just before hauling everything downstairs for the carport sale.

Since then we've been "spare-room-surfing" among our family!  The first week we spent at our Grandma Sonel's house, which included the project of getting the stuff we're storing up into her garage's loft and printing off update letters and prepping them for the post.  (NOTE: if you have NOT received a snail-mail update, including our prayer card, and you would like to, feel free to email us and let us know that you'd like to get one - please include the best mailing address for you!  Our email is: gabedanikwood(at)gmail.com)
Our stored possessions.  It seems like an awful lot!

The last of my mailing list - trying to track down addresses!
This week we're at our Shulke parents' house, staying in their lux accommodations (aka: the family motorhome!):

I don't think this vehicle has a name yet - any good suggestions?

Our stuff that is prepared to go to Thailand AND the stuff we're living on until we go!
And at the end of this week we'll transition up to our Kirkwood parents' home for the remaining time here in the states.

Our bags for Thailand are most of the way packed, other than a few last minute things we'll throw in the day we leave.  We also have duffel bags we're hauling around with us, which is what we're living out of currently.  By and large, these last weeks we're trying to spend time with family and finish the practical details of wrapping up business here in the USA.  It's beginning to feel a bit more real!

  1. I would humbly like to contribute the name "Myrtle" for the motor home.
